For the sky I used Photoshop and for everything else I used a program called "Painter" which great at simulating natural media, especially with the help of a tablet.

Okay, I admit. I've never played FFXI, and I don't intend to. (I'm not a real big ORPG player and I'm saving up for Dark Cloud 3, World of Mana and FFXII...) But this... This is gorgeous! What beautiful work! She looks so lovely, and her dress is so pretty... I love the shading on the dress itself, and how it looks so shiny, like it's made of silk or something. And her hair is so pretty... I can just gush about it for hours. ^^ Now I wanna draw a dress like that... Eee! Now you've inspired me to draw more LoM/EscadxHeroine fanart! HUZZAH! *is currently in fangirl-mode. Is also the resident Escad-fan of FFN.*

Okay, the overly chipper gushy-ness is over. Aah, so this is what you can do with a tablet... I'm completely clueless with mine, so now it just sits there and acts as a fancy-looking mouse. I need more practice CGing with it in photoshop. Hmm, Painter is good at simulating traditional media, you say? I'll google it sometime... Anyway, the background looks just fine, especially the rock formation that she's sitting on and the. I can't draw good backgrounds to save my life. And again, I adore the in-general shading of the girl and her dress; I love how soft and pretty her hair looks. And her expression gives me the impression that she's daydreaming or something. Hehe...

In short, I love it. ^^
