Time: Too long to count Tools: Painter XI, Photoshop CS, Wacom Intuos 6 x 8 Same character from the black and white "Cell of the Servant"... but BEHOLD!! There is a background! Someone mentioned to me a while back that most of my images lack any sort of background, so from then on I decided I'd try not to plant characters in front of fuzzy, vague, lame looking gradients anymore. A friend commissioned me to make this for him. He has the spiffier, non-blurred, un-watermarked version. I think the most difficulty I had with this picture was the fact that all the elves are supposed to be nobility. I'm so used to drawing scrappy, ragged adventuring types that when it came to making unique and interesting outfits for folks that were supposed to be rich and powerful... I hit a brick wall. And of course, all the outfits in my head that I wanted to draw out were just too complicated for my meager skills, so I couldn't make them. At least not yet. Some day. ::Shakes fist:: Some day. Anyway, yes they're night elves. Night elves are taking over my entire gallery lately - the true sign of a sad, sad little WoW addict. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
